My first posting is to inform you that the best has yet to come in The Wire.  I won’t be a spoiler throughout the semester but it will only get better.  It is hard to beat the first season but Omar is the most exciting character.  He and his boyfriends get to work in the hustling, slinging, and robbing.

If I recall, the first time we see Omar is episode 3 when he steals from Avon Barksdale’s crew.  When D notices, there will obviously be retaliation.  Omar is sly and sneaky but we all know how long that lasts.  Once Omar tried to kill Avon outside the bar, his problems become bigger.  The pace is pretty fast to refresh myself with this amount of episodes so I’m happy it slows down a bit.
