This assignment interested me as soon as I saw it. Anything that deals with sports immediately gets a consideration with me. So when I saw that this assignment was mash together two or more of your favorite teams logos I had to complete it. Then as a remix, I had to hide Waldo from “Where’s Waldo” somewhere in the design for an extra 2 stars.

My favorite teams are the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia 76ers, so I had to search Google to find their logos to put into a design. This wasn’t hard to do, and I was able to save the logos to my computer. Then I imported them into my Sketchbook app. I figured that the circular shape of the 76ers logo would be perfect located in the Raider’s helmet in the logo, so I cropped out the Sixers logos and placed it right inside the Raider’s helmet.

That was all I had to do, so then I focused on the remixed portion of the assignment. For this part, I found an image of Waldo and thought about placing him right on the eye-patch of the Raider; but I realized that this spot would make finding Waldo too easy. To make it harder to spot Waldo, I made the image of Waldo as small as I could make it and placed it somewhere in the team logo mashup design.

Overall, this was an easy and fun assignment because it dealt with designing using my favorite sports team. Any assignment where I can show my fan pride is always one of my favorite assignments.
