For my final project, I am working on making my wedding website better. Here I want to describe how to get a nice audio player in a blog post, like I did in the below post for the decades radio bumpers and like I did on the homepage of my wedding website.
I took a very round about way of getting it on my wedding website. I cannot even remember all of the steps, but I found a tutorial about uploading the music to C-Panel. I uploaded the song I wanted to c-panel and then had to put in some codes into my post. This was helpful though in that it allowed me to set the code on auto play. However, after some time, I realized that auto play is actually quite annoying to people who enter your website. I recommend avoiding it and just using this simple upload method rather than going through C-Panel.
1. Under wordpress plugins, download Audio Player. Audio player is a “Audio Player is a highly configurable but simple mp3 player for all your audio needs. You can customise the player’s colour scheme to match your blog theme, have it automatically show track information from the encoded ID3 tags and more. Go to your Settings page to start configuring it.”
2. Under settings, you can control things like color scheme and file locations. I played with the color schemes which are very sensitive. You can basically change every tiny color of the player.
3. Then, go to Add audio which is on the blog page where it says Upload/Insert. If you click this you are able to upload the music from your computer, just like you would a picture. Insert it and then it should be in your post.
4. If you would rather upload the music to C-Panel for some reason, like I originally did, here is the Frequently asked questions link. http://wpaudioplayer.com/frequently-asked-questions/ This helped me with the process and allowed me to have a loop/repeat/auto play/multiple tracks.
