How’s everyone doing? My name’s Shakira. I’m a junior here at York majoring in CT and Business Admin. The only blogging I do is on tumblr.com so this kind of thing (installing wordpress, a webhost, setting up a website, etc.) is kind of new to me but I’m sure I’ll be used to it soon.

When I first entered York, I was so set on having a career specifically in business (business management to be exact). I probably felt like that because I went to a business high school.  Once I started taking business courses here, however, I just felt like it wasn’t for me anymore. I didn’t hate it but I just couldn’t see myself doing that for the rest of my life. I like drawing, being on a computer, and doing other “right brained” activities. Which is why I chose CT as my first major. I feel like it kind of incorporates all of what I like to do. I have business as a second major simply for me just to have some business sense. A lot of people think having two majors is hard but its really not. You just have to stay focused and not fall behind.

Anyway, that’s my first post. Looking forward to learning a lot in this class.
