I really enjoyed the following assignment. It was to take the opening credits of a film (in this case I took one for a TV show) and redo it in an alternate style. I redid the opening credits of The Walking Dead, a popular TV show on AMC that just finished its second season.

I kept the same basic spooky feel to it, however I added actual footage of zombies from the show into the intro (something you don’t see in the original). The music was similar, however not the exact as the original one. First, I clipped some footage off of episodes from the show and converted it – which was really tedious since vegas was being picky on what video format to accept! I then used vegas effects to bring down the saturation as well as add some tint and grain to the footage. I added the texts in different scenes and used the timeline in vegas to give it a little motion. The last clip showing The Walking Dead title was actually from the original opening credits. Finally I replaced the original audio track from the footage clips with the tune.
