Phew……my third picture !!!!

Assignment: In this assignment, I needed to choose two pictures and make one composite picture. For this time, I chose Mr. Obama, current american president and Steve Jobs who was one of the best executive in centuries. I quoted famous saying Mr.Obama used during election term, “Yes, we can.” This time, I used THIRD picture which was a great invention of Steve Jobs, “iPhone.”

Process:

0. Open the GIMP2.6

1, Upload one picture which becomes the base.

2. Resize it to the proper size

3. Upload another picture as a layer.

4. Use “Pass” function and surrond the area to cut

5. Press “Cut”

6. Open the new layer and “Paste” it.

7. Type the word using “Type” function.

8. Set the proper font, size, and color and place it on the bottom.

9. Adjust the position so that two pictures fit together.

10. (Move picture) to put Steve’s face over Mr.Obama’s face.

11. Open another layer and open “iPhone” picture as a layer.

12. Use “Cut” function and gauge only iphone out.

13. place it by Mr.Obama’s hand as if he was holding it !

Story: This was my forth time and I finally got used to this software. I have used Photoshop when I was a high school student and was into it. so, I bought Photoshop for my own and it cost me about $1000. I think Gimp is as useful and convenient as Photoshop even though Gimp is free. I am astonished that I could use this software without payment. I know there are more and more useful and interesting functions that I dont know yet. I found many interesting pictures and paintings made by Gimp. I hope I will be able to use Gimp like my hand so that I could make any pictures depicted in my mind.
