“Liminal State Between Two Realities”

NOW HOLD ON*  I know this isn’t a picture of a gate or a window, but this is indeed, a divide of realities.

I’ve played volley ball for the past 9 years, it rapidly became my favorite sport and my passion.  I look back on high school volleyball and still think that was the funniest time of my life.  The volleyball team I was apart of in highschool was a dynasty, winning counties 2 years while i was there, sending kids to schools on full rides even.  My senior year of volleyball we won counties, and I told my coach who i’d at that point known for a number of years that i wanted to get into coaching.

He had an out of school club team, which i also played on, and added a 14 year old team.  I coached them for a few months during the club season, and this photo is actually from a tournament which we took 2nd place in.

The divide in reality is that coaching was a VERY different experience than being a player.  I had to manage and create line-ups, manage the playing time, and not to mention dealing with the parents.  Every time i look at this picture, aside from being happy, it reminds me of my volleyball days, where i once was, and where i went.
