Well, I think I’ve finally figured out this whole domain name, web host, blog-linked, wordpress business. Purchasing the domain name on Hover and the web host on Cast Iron Coding was the easy part. It was figuring out how to link them together and how to use cpanel that was challenging. However, after many grueling hours of staring at my computer screen, I finally got my site up and running. I’m not exactly sure how it happened – it was a culmination of pressing buttons, reading through at least ten tutorials and help in class last night.

Perhaps more challenging than getting the website up and running was choosing a site name. I knew I wanted a pun with my last name, Weeks. The Weekly Update was the best my – as of yet – uncreative brain could pick. I think it’s…okay.

In any case, I’m ready to get started with ds106!
