If I had a choice on whether to do an 5 page paper or an 300 – 400 word blog I would definitely choose the blog only because the length and how long it would take me to write an A+ essay for class. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would pick to write or type an blog over an 5 page essay. The pros and cons of having to write an essay is the following: Pros – you have more time to write and prepare the essay, you can write however long you want on the topic that’s given and your professor gives you the exact amount of information that you need to complete the paper. Cons – if the essay doesn’t contain all of the exact information that the professor assigned then points are taken off, the professor doesn’t extend the deadline unless it’s with an excuse or to his/her convenience and if you don’t have your works cited then you cant turn the paper in at all. The pros and cons of having to write/type an blog are the following: Pros – its a free space to express your feelings, you can make it as long as you want or as short as you want and there’s no guidelines to follow except for the topic to write about. Cons – there’s no exact rules/guidelines to go off of, you have a exact turn in time that you cant past not even by a minute to get credit and the workload is a little bit more strenuous then writing an term paper.
