Website Manipulation

So this week we had to choose a website and change it to tell a story. I chose ebay.  Now if you’ve read all the Harry Potter books or at least seen the films you might see where I’m going with this. If you remember the sixth and seventh books, Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows, then you’ll remember a character named Mundungus Fletcher.  He was responsible for stealing Voldemort’s locket horcrux and selling it to Dolores Umbridge. Well, I decided that had Mundungus had a website like ebay at his disposal he might have tried to get rid of it this way.

Everything was going great until I went to save the html code to re open it in firefox to show off my work. Thanks to ebay’s “terrible code” as Martha put it, some of the page is either spaced out too far or refuses to show up altogether. Unfortunately, these are problems so far embedded into the code or an issue with ebay’s server itself that I cannot fix it. However, I do have the original page and what changes would show up.  This was a really awesome project and I will try to redeem myself by picking an easier website next time. For those of you who have procrastinated thus far…do not…I repeat… DO NOT pick ebay! Try something with less issues…like a newspaper or just a simpler website in general. Good luck.harrypotter
