SO… since I wasn’t on my computer for longer than like five minutes yesterday… here is my first visual assignment. I decided to start with my first album cover. The prompt was this: “First, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The title of the article is now the name of your band. Next, go here: http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 Go to the bottom of the page. The last four to five words of the last quote are the title of your first album Lastly, go here: http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days Select the 3rd image. It is the picture for your album cover. Manipulate the picture, resize it, add some other color, whatever. Do the same with the band name and album title, put them over top.”

I did as the prompt told me to and came out with this: Band name- Tournament of Hearts, Album title- The Walls Of Our Own Homes, and the picture I got is of a pretty flower. I did some manipulating of the picture and added the two titles. I don’t have any fancy photo manipulating programs, so I just went with paint. Paint is actually pretty frustrating because of how simple it is. You can add text, but once you leave the text box, you can’t get back into it if you decide you want to change something. Regardless, I think it came out well and I really like it. I hope you all think so as well Plus, I thought the name of the band and album title came out pretty perfect. I’ll be adding my second visual assignment tonight!
