Daily Shoot #589: Three Kinds of Wine

Assignment: Make a photograph with around the number three today. Three objects. Three colors. The number three.

Three Wines

Over the past few years, I’ve come to have a real love affair with wine. I love the surprise of each bottle, the smell, the look, how each grape can create such a different flavor.  So, I decided to illustrate the three main types of wine–white, blush, and red.

It’s not my favorite daily shoot photo thus far, but it will do.

I took this photo with the Vignette Demo app, using the Vignette setting.  I cropped the photo just a little so that the wines were centered, then made white, light purple, and red rectangles over each glass and chose the “screen” setting for them.  After that, it was a simple matter of deciding to further separate the subjects with black rectangles and setting them to “lighten” (I think).
