I haven’t used this blog in quite awhile – and yet, I’m still paying for the hosting. That seems like a waste of money, so I’m gonna fix that.
The truth is, though, that I kind of miss blogging – it’s been nice to not to have to worry about it, but I really like being able to keep track of my thoughts in this way, and I really do think it helps the learning process to be able to reflect on everything in a rather informal way.
And I think that’d be especially helpful this semester. Right now, I’m doing my History 485, which is the capstone course for the history degree at Mary Wash. It’s basically a semester of individualized research on a topic of your choice, culminating in a 30-40 page research paper. It’s really a lot of work, and being able to reflect on that, as well as my other classes, would be helpful. There’s a lot of other things going on (Which I will hopefully explore in future posts) which could really benefit from some blogful reflection.
There’s more to it than that, but let’s start small: my basic intentions with this revival, and a basic sketch of what I’d like to do. That’s enough for today.
Blogging is one of those things that I’ve always wanted to do regularly, but never seem to be able to make the time for. Let’s see if that changes.
(If there aren’t any posts after this, and it’s December already, then my bad: apparently the answer’s no.)
