And now the final four weeks of the semester are staring us in the face. I’d like to use this post to spell out the several items that were covered at the end of last class.

  • Weekly blog posts #4 and #5 will be drawn from the four remaining topics to be presented. You are free to choose a topic of your choice for your blog posts
  • Among weekly blog posts #4 and #5, one will be optional. If you choose to do both, the score from one can be used to replace an earlier weekly blog post
  • Your weekly blog post should include a possible question for the final exam based on the topic you are blogging about (please use multiple choice or true / false format)
  • The final exam will consist of 2 parts – it will written in a blue book which will be provided by the instructor:
    • 20 points will be in the form of student created questions drawn from weekly blog posts (a study guide with 15 questions from which 10 will appear on the final will be distributed at the last scheduled lesson)
    • 50 points will be for single essay question based on one of the four final topics. Questions will be be included on the study sheet mentioned above. Students may choose which of the four topics/questions to write the essay about
  • Final individual presentations are scheduled for 11/22 (Tuesday)
  • Final group presentations are scheduled for 11/25 (Thursday)
  • All individual papers will be due 11/30
  • Final day to submit ds106 assignments to the shared Google document is 11/30
