My Experience in DS106 in Song

Hi Everybody,

I enjoyed my time in class. I had a bit of trouble keeping up with assignments. I was a little uncomfortable because I’ve never had to do anything really “bloggy” in a video class before. So this was a new experience for me. So the final assignment is to post our experience of the class in audio, video or written form. I’ve been meaning to post a audio clip of me singing and decided to take a melody of one of my favorite songs Call on Jesus and write lyrics of my experience of the class. I used a dynamic usb mic I have at home and audacity to clean it up. I just used some noise removal and clipping some area spots. There is no background music because the background music’s beat and rhythm would have thrown me off with the lyrics. Below is the song and the lyrics. Enjoy!! *PS I had to use DS one hundred six to make it sound better than saying DS1o6*

Call on DS106
By Kayla Serpa
I’m at york, studying media
Oh, I have never posted on blogs
And I have never commented before.
Sometimes I’m swamped with work from other classes
Like a classic college student

Chorus:
But when I call on DSone hundred six
All work is possible
When I call on DS106,
Assignments are posted
‘Cause With DS I can do it home

Film, audio, and photo

Verse 2:
Weary student, broken macbook,
Worried, Worried about deadlines, I can do it now
If I’m tired and swamped with work from classes
And I can’t find the sleep to carry on

Chorus:
When I call on DSone hundred six
All work is possible
When I call on DSone hundred six,
Assignments are posted
‘Cause With DS I can do it at home

Film, audio, and photo
