This week we will be moving into the Design portion of the course. For-credit students will be expected to do a Daily Create each and every day and at least 15 stars worth of assignments from the Design assignment repository here. All assignments are due no later than midnight on Sunday (not Saturday, Sunday!), February 19th, 2012.
You need to tag your assignments correctly to get credit. We encourage you to submit new assignments here and keep the tutorials coming, for you will have to do at least four of each this semester (two before the mid-semester), so get going on them. In addition to the specific assignment tutorial tag, be sure to add the “ds106tutorials” tag (no quotes) to all tutorial posts.
Also, keep in mind that submitting the assignment is the baseline expectation for credit. To do well on your assignments you need to narrate the process, share your idea behind why you did it, and experiment with making something compelling, do not settle for run-of-the-mill.
Finally, we strongly recommend you to listen to Tim Owens’ talk from last year “We Are All Artists” presentation and the accompanying links page which is a great resource.

One of my assignments isn’t showing up on the visual assignments ( VisualAssignments347) :( I think when I tagged it the first time I put a space in between, but I fixed it shortly after (sometime yesterday afternoon).
Does it not resync after you’ve initially posted something, if you edit it later?
Reverend
Chelsea,
I’ll check that out now and let you know. It sometimes has a hard time re-syncing. I’ll make sure it comes in.

Hi Reverend & @timmmmyboy ..
FYI – Please note that the”links page” hyperlink in the last paragraph is “dead”.
Take care & keep smiling :-) Brian
Reverend
Brian,
It may have been fixed before I saw your note, but it is working for me now.

The “links page” hyperlink and “We Are All Artists” presentation hyperlink is not working for me either.
Reverend
Feng,
If the link to the mp3 file doesn’t work for you on the web right click the link and download the mp3 and play it on your computer.
The “links page” link should now work. Thanks for the heads up.
Feng Chen
It works now!
