Dreams so far away.  Where to go?  What to do?  Thunder claps in the distance.  Will he even remember?

I began with this frozen beach walk background noise.  From there I added noises such as wind, thunder, sound of a cigarette lighter, and a fog horn, and then adjusted the volume to, particurally the wind, so it didn’t consume all the other sounds.  The sheer amount of noises at freesounds gives a lot of flexibility and capability of creating a passable scene.

While a story might imply a twist or some catch, I felt that bringing listeners into a scene would feel more real and give gentle birth to other thoughts rather than having a pixilated bobcat fly in on a razor scooter and throw porcupines at this man smoking on the beach.

It just might be too jarring, too unbelievable.
