In making the radio show, we used a google doc to write the script.  This was great, because we could work on it on our own computers, when it was convenient for each of us, and it allows more than one person to work on a document at the same time, and it’s also easy to share.  I love Google Docs.  Brian and Jack worked mostly on Act 1 (in yellow, red, and maroon text) and I worked on the interview with the Psychologist (in blue and black text).  We realized that we had too much in our script and we had to cut some stuff out in order for it all to fit, but it ended up working out.

Brian made the first commercial and I made the second.  Here is the original script I used for mine:

I recorded mine in Garage Band, in the best country accent I could do to hide my own voice, (saying “cars” was hard..) and because my experience with people from Caroline County has often involved a southern accent.

Garage band was great.  I realized I could use the master track to change the tempo, which as you will hear, was necessary for the end.  Coming up with a script that sounded like one I’d hear on the radio took me a while, and lots of editing.  I used overlapping audio clips in the beginning (when I say “Big Bob’s Cars”) to make it sound a little more interesting.  I used freesounds.org and got the honking sound and the car sound in the background.
