This is my last post.  It is the post that will talk about summarizing all of the things done on the checklist.

  • I have scheduled my 30 minute appointment with Jim Groom during finals week.  My time slot is on Wednesday, at 1:00.  I love Wednesdays because it’s the day of Red Pepper and gouda soup.  It’s the best, and it’s cheap ($2.10 for soup and pita chips. WHAT?!)
  • I have organized my blog.  This was one of the easiest steps because my blog had sections for my assignments, TDCs, and tutorials/assignments, however, I did not have an area with participation and best of work.  I improvised with both of these, but I think it worked?
  • Archiving Your Blog. THIS WAS THE WORST.  I spent at least 2 hours doing this, and it was a mess.  I downloaded the export file from my blog, and I went to import it and it did not work the first few times.  It said I needed to upgrade my Import tool?  Well, later today, it didn’t say that and it let me start to upload.  Then it stopped working.  I then had to download just the post export, and it let me upload about 2 posts at a time.  It did not include the cover pictures for some of the posts, so I had to go in and do that manually.  It also did not upload the Soundcloud embedded files, even when I put them in manually.  I did watch the video, but I was puzzled by what was going on.  It was not a pleasant experience, but I will stop complaining, because it is done!  See my new blog here. This new website has been loaded to my profile on the DS106 website, and I would like to say that I chose the “good fork in the road.”  I plan to continue the use of this website, and I will be migrating to the Hippie Hosting service! I think this is a great tool for sharing and saving (along with other archiving tools) any digital art that I produce, or any multimedia work I do for future jobs (with their permission, of course).
  • I completed my final project post.  This was very sort of relaxing, and it was nice to just get to talk about happy things, like popsicles and cats. It was also nice for myself to sort of have a nice “ending” to the project, as it could go on forever, and it might actually do that.
  • Creating the Final Reflection Video was awesome.  I actually wrote down bullet points, and it ended up being a 7 minute long video!  No one wants to see that! I tried again and only got it down to 6 mins.  Not totally pleased, but I needed every second of it.  You can check that out here.
