The first thing I did to look up Creative Commons was google it. The very first link that came up was for a website called: http://creativecommons.org (also the most useful and imformative) So to do further research I clicked on the about tab. Creative Commons is a website for copyrighting. Creative Commons lets other people modify your work without having to come to you to for your permission. So instead of all rights reserved Creative Commons lets you have the option to have some rights reserved. On the Creative Commons website there are many different copyright licenses to choose from. A resource on creative commons I found the most useful was on the about page there was a video describing what exactly Creative Commons is. http://creativecommons.org/about. The video was very informative and gave a great overview of Creative Commons. I like how there are ways to choose which kind of copyrighting licence you want to use. So after I got onto Creative Commons I clicked on the link Choose A Licence, and then I answered the questions about how I wanted to share my work and it gave me the licence Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0.). This is the licence allows other people to modify my work and use it but does not allow them to use it for commercial purposes. I think that is the best for me because I feel like anything I can create can be shared and modified. It to me means to build upon and improve my work if others can help. I believe that if you can create something other people have the right to modify it to improve it.
