Story Listening

Sherlock Holmes:

My choice to listen to a couple of episodes of radio production the new Sherlock Holmes. ( I might have listened to more than the required) I was captured with in the details  given as if reading a book, my imagination was able to draw a clear picture of what was going on in the story.

This assignment was quite fun for me, as one of my rituals in travel is to listen to books on audio and what I noticed the radio broadcasters from 70 years ago use the same vocal techniques as a storyteller in the books, I have heard.

Due to the time period of these radio shows, alot of the audio techniques discussed this week were not used. The stories were mainly just the dialogue of the story and the occasional sound effect( Foley sound with a few artists and musicians).
