Making GIFs is sew fun!

Last week, we were assigned to make a gif of a movie we loved for ds106 and while working on the assignment, I decided to start looking for more video clips that I could turn into GIFs.

When it came time to post my Weekly Summary on Sunday night, I wanted to add some more gifs to my post to break up the wordiness of my post, but at the time had only made one. I inserted a gif from the file of them I had saved on my computer of Neil Patrick Harris on Sesame Street dancing with Elmo which I had found during one of ONTD‘s Free For All Friday posts and vowed to start trying to make all GIFS that I would post on my blog going forward.

Yesterday, I found some time between classes and made two GIFS involving two of my favorite things, bacon and Girls.

During last week’s Open Lab, I was looking on YouTube for things and ran across CHOW’s latest video on making candied bacon. I mentioned it jokingly in the chat and Miss Amber May suggested that I make gifs of it, hence this gif of bacon sizzling in an oven.

I am a huge fan of HBO’s Girls and really wanted to make a “celebration gif”. I found a clip of a scene where Hannah Horvath (Lena Dunham) is dancing to Robyn’s Dancing On My Own and after playing around with it in ImageReady, realized I could make a GIF from the scene that would look nearly seamless, which I really like.
