Listening to ds106 radio was great, it felt like when people used to gather around the radio to listen to a story or the news. It was nice to sit back and listen to a story while seeing what other people thought about it. It was definitely typical noir, many things reminded me of “The Postman Always Rings Twice” in this story. There were many parallels such as the woman being repulsed by her first husband and plotting to kill him with the new man she loves. It always surprises me how gullible the husband that gets murdered is, he must be completely oblivious to his wife hating him. The sound and noises definitely complemented the story, such as the gunshot, if that sound effect was not in there we would never have known that someone was shot. The music was very typical of noir and helped to develop the story. Overall I really liked this assignment and I hope there are future assignments like this one.
