Gerald the Elephant and Piggie Story

The link above is to a 4 minute audio segment from the Velaciraptor Variety Show. The segment is a performance of my fiance and I reading the children’s book Watch Me Throw the Ball by Mo Willems. This is part of a series of books about Gerald the Elephant and Piggie. The author, Mo Willems, is one of my favorites…he used to be a writer for Sesame Street and has won many awards for his work. He’s hilarious! My fiance played the part of Gerald the Elephant in a ridiculous red-neck voice (not anything like how he really speaks), and I played the part of Piggie.

I used the program Garage Band on my Macbook to edit the audio and add music and sound effects. I found Garage Band more user friendly than Audacity. When I had completed the segment, I exported the file to iTunes and converted the file to an mp3 so that I could upload it onto Sound Cloud. My group and I used Sound Cloud to exchange files with each other.

Our group’s show will be playing at 4:00 on Saturday, March 12. Enjoy!
