First off, you made the right decision to register for this class. You’re off on the right foot. I learned a lot during this class – about computers, the internet, and how to use these mediums to express my own creativity. And unlike some of my undergraduate education, I know that I will use what I have learned in this class in the future. However, although the gains may be great, there is a lot of work between now and the end. But don’t let that discourage you.
My greatest frustration and regret with this class was my own doing. I poorly applied myself in the beginning of the semester, well lets say the first half of the semester, and by the time I got on top of my work, I realized how much I had missed. And it was a lot, I missed out on a great opportunity to create and express myself in the online world. Instead of enjoying the projects in the beginning, I was scrambling to complete them. Once I took the time to do the work how I wanted to do it, the class was no longer a typical course, but it was a lot of fun. I didn’t even notice I was sitting in front of my computer for 6 hours straight mashing up a video because I was enjoying it. And the best part was sharing the work, seeing what others thought of my project and getting to check out how everyone else interpreted the assignment. So don’t make the same mistake I did, start strong from the beginning – you will love this class.
