This weeks assignment was to read “Web 2.0 Storytelling: The Emergence of a New Genre” and Seven Things You Should Know about Creative Commons.

The Web 2.0 article attempted to define and describe what digital storytelling is. After reading it, I don’t feel that I learned anything I didn’t already know.  The 50+ ways article was probably the only part of the article that was really interesting to me (it reminded me of the person who made a Bag of Gold  Adobe After Effects video).  It will be interesting to see where web storytelling goes, as the Internet as a platform for telling story telling gains acceptance.

I skimmed through the Creative Commons article, as I’m already fairly well versed in the matter.  The Creative Commons is a must-have for the sharing of intellectual property on the web.
