The first image is Julie Andrews (Maria) as a nun. That was her occupation until she went to become a full time governess for the seven Von Trapp children.

The seven children of Captain Von Trapp are depicted next. In chronological order: Liesl, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta, and Gretl. All they want is their father’s attention and love. Maria helps the family to reconnect through their love of music and one another.

Next is the Nazi threat which tries to force the Captain to serve under their command.  Fortunately, the family is able to escape during their performance at a local music festival. This brings us to the next icon…
