This is Foode. I had my first visit at this amazing restaurant/market today. It’s located on Caroline Street across from Dog Crazy. I not only chose these three pictures because they have somewhat unusual views but I have a different view of this place after having gone today. I had never taken the chance to check out this place before because the sign has the word “gourmet” on it, which I thought meant this is a fancy shmancy hootie tootie restaurant. But I really needed some bread and didn’t have time to go all the way to Wegmans, so I ventured into Foode. I WAS SOO WRONG ABOUT THIS PLACE. Everybody there is really friendly, and Foode’s whole mission is to support and provide local, sustainable, organic food. I didn’t have the chance to test out their menu, although it sounds delicious and most everything is under $10, but I did purchase a loaf of rosemary bread. I waited in a comfy chair reading a magazine for about 15 minutes, and then I left with a freshly baked, right from the oven, unbelievably smelling loaf of bread. Of course as soon as I got home, I just had to try this bread. So I did and it was THE BEST bread I’ve ever tasted. So need a place to eat? or some fresh, local, organic, food to take home? Go to Foode! You’ll probably see me there because I think I’ll just go camp out there so I can eat their food all day long.
