This is my first attempt at making a gif from a movie – obviously I still have a lot to learn, but I’m happy that I got it to work at all. The movie is Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai.” The guy pictured above is one of the title characters, and he’s the coldest, most efficient killer of the whole bunch. In this scene, he’s waiting in the woods to ambush a couple of bandits that are about to come through. He maintains this position until the very last second, at which point he calmly stands up and gets to slayin’. It’s a powerful scene in a powerful movie, and you should definitely watch it if you haven’t.
