Watching “No Digital Facelifts” and reading “A Personal Cyberinfrastructure” laid out the basics to “A Domain of your Own”. Social media has taken over with popular sites such as Facebook and Twitter. People use these sites to blog their brains out and usually, only a few people ca see their blogs. However, with your own domain, the whole world can see just what you have to say.

With your own domain, the possibilities are endless and in my opinion, having your own domain is the next step for someone to move on to. I mean yes you can express you ideas on Facebook on Twitter, however, you’re never in full control because both of these social media sites have owners and each of these sites have restrictions. But with your own domain, you can do what you want, when you want and most importantly how you want because in the end, you’re the one in charge.

I think everyone student should really consider having their own domain because like I said, the possibilities are endless are it takes a simple blog to the next level. Technology is improving everyday to the point where even a cellphone can now send an email and/or buy an airplane ticket and I believe having your own domain will prepare everyone for technological invasion we will have in the future.
