“The contest nobody could win” Description: Take six very short fragments (less than one second each) from six different songs and ensemble them into a single piece. Expect others to guess which six songs you have used. Basic rules: 1) do not repeat songs 2) do not use covers (unless the cover is much better than the original, sh*t happens) 3) John Cage’s 4’33” is not a song!!!

So I chose this as my first audio assignment because it gave me a chance to have fun with one of those good old guessing games with my fellow DS106 mates. I actually did’nt have to use “Audacity”, I already have Sony Vegas Pro installed on my computer. It wasn’t hard at all to do the mashup, I’ve done it before, just longer. So now here’s the fun part, I have my six songs, guess which ones I chose. It shouldn’t be hard this time around, I decided to do it more as a tribute to one of my favorite and one of the best musical artists of all time. However my next mashup may not be so easy. So guess guess guess!!
