Homer Character Bird Calls

Posted by
|

Description: Like some people use special whistles to attract birds, your task is to create an 30 second or less audio file that might be used to “call” a particular character from a movie, tv, or real life. It cannot feature voices, but sounds only (try http://freesounds.org). Write a description why this sound would be attractive to the character, why it would be effective (be inventive, write a story about it).

I am trying to attract the attention of Homer Simpson, this funny character who makes me laugh a lot every time I can watch his hamburger stories and spoil adventures. I think I can call homer with a person eating a mouthful of crisps (chips) with their mouth open, noisily sounds and a delicious beer in his favorite bar. He loves to have fun, and never stops eating. So I think I will get his attention very easy…

So this is my calling_homer audio. I edited it in Audacity program that I downloaded for free. I also downloaded two free sounds from freesound.org. One was a beer bottle opening, the second was a noisy bar, and the third one was a person eating noisy chips. I added the three files into the program. Then, I copied and pasted the bar sound three times in the same line of time,  and then I applied fade out and fade in effects to mix the connections. Then I cut the other parts I did not want to use, and I amplified the chips sound to make it stronger than the other audios. Moreover, I applied the noise removal effect to the bar because it was to loud. Finally, I got my call bird sound.
