Finally have figured out how to set up my blog! I’ve had some small experience with managing blogs and websites before so it wasn’t too difficult. The tutorials really helped! One thing I was a little worried about was how long it would take for the domain name to be connected to the webhost – all of the tutorials said that it could take 24 hours – but for me it only took about 5 minutes….

Installing WordPress was easy too, and it is proving very easy to use. At this point in the game, the hardest part was figuring out my domain name! I have pondered it all week, and at dinner last night I asked my boyfriend for suggestions. I told him I wanted it to represent me, and since I consider myself to be a generally happy person I wanted it to center around happiness. He said, “The first word that pops into my head when I think of ‘happy’ isn’t even a real word….”

Of course, this took my attention. When I demand to know what the word was, it was “happiprocity” – a combination of “happy” and “reciprocity.” Why his mind meshed those two words together at that specific moment in time, I’ll never know, but it does fit me perfectly: an exchange of happiness.
