My Life As A Writer

As a writer starting from the first grade all the way into the last year of college and so on from there, you learn how to truly perfect your writing purpose and style. When I first started writing all the way back to second grade, I knew that I would love it. My main interest as a young writer was comic books, mainly adventure, my love of The Captain Underpants Series was strong and it led me to never wanting to stop making my own comics. As the school years progressed I hit middle school and I then realized that I never wanted to make comic books again because in society’s eyes that’s not cool. I then moved on to expository essays, persuasive essays and narrative essays, but out of the three my sixth grade teacher told me that I was the best at expository. She told me that I was one the best writers she’s seen in awhile and that she wanted to submit me into the state essay contest. I had no confidence to do that, but Mrs. Ortiz helped me the whole way through and got me the gold medal in the state of Georgia. The only problem I faced that none of my teachers realized was that I keep rambling on in ALL of my essays. I’ve tried my best to stop it but yet it has not gone away in any way shape or form. Although I tend to ramble, my essays are still quite good might I say, I’ve never gotten lower then an B on any essay and I have proof to show that. I don’t LOVE writing but I enjoy doing it most of the down time I have in college now. The reason why I didn’t do to well in English 101 last semester was because I was very sick most of the year and that led me into missing a lot of the information. I received many NC’s because of the lack of information that i was provided in the class when i wasn’t there. I still did my best on all of my papers though because I enjoy writing. If I ever get bored, nervous or upset I tend to always write my expressions out that way no one else is effected. Sometimes I let out my emotions on my social media networks which include : Facebook, Twitter and Google+. I’m glad I am taking this class because it will truly show me how to blog, post, comment and do other various things on the computer and paper, all of which that I will need in the future.
