So, today was a stressful day.  It seemed like everything wrong.  I broke a necklace, a mirror (not the glass but broke the mirror off of its stand), and that is just to name a few.  However, when sitting down to add my pluggins, it didn’t seem to be that hard.  BUT that makes me really nervous like I did something wrong.  Thanks to my awesome classmates who are so quick and computer savvy, I was able to use the parts of the tutorials they posted.

I installed Twitter tool, Subscribe to Comments, Akismet, Google Analytic and Hello Dolly. To install Subscribe to Comments, was really simple I just found it in the “plugins” and uploaded it, then clicked activate.  To install Akismet, I had to fill out information and receive and API key.  Then once that was entered it was just a matter of activation.  Hello Dolly, was the same process as Subscribe to Comments.  Twitter tools, once installed, I add to sign in to my twitter account and fill out some information.  It sent me some keys that I needed to input.  Then I had to activate it. Once all of the was done, to get my tweets to show up on my page I went to widgets and dragged it to my side bar.  It took me a little while to figure out I had to do the widget step.  But now I can see my tweets, and you can too.  Look on the right and find the box entitled “Sweet Tweets.”  I know my processes are not very descriptive, reason being I forgot the exact steps because I was so focused on how to do it and stressing out.  But what I do remember is that the websites that you sign into when you are asked to provide some information are really help for and for twitter tools, I used this like: http://svn.wp-plugins.org/twitter-tools/trunk/README.txt .  For the Akismet plugin I used the following link for help: http://akismet.com/wordpress/ . Google Analytics, I used http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/.  I learned that wordpress is really helpful with providing “How To’s,” thank goodness!!!!  Will be on the look out for other cool plugins to install.

I also installed a new theme, it is called fancy.  It is one of the wordpress themes.  It’s bright, fun and colorful.  I added a calendar  from the widgets tab in wordpress.  I also added two new pages: The Daily Create and Assignments.  I really feel like my blog is coming together.

That’s all for now! :)
