Splash the Color

OK, I have always thought these kinds of pictures looked really really cool, but I never new how to do it. Not anymore! Again I googled for how to do this using GIMP, and this link was really helpful. That was a nice walk through of how to do this with any picture, so expect to see that effect again. GIMP has this clone tool you use by setting it up in the color version of the picture that maps to the same picture only in black and white. Once the clone tool is set up all, you need is a steady mouse hand.

As a side note, if you know what that’s a picture of, you’re a nerd. If you can tell me why that card is the one colored, you’re a super nerd.
