For this design assignment, I decided to make a postcard from my hometown! I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and most of my family still lives there. I played around with lots of images but decided to go with the iconic Churchill Downs photo. Most people recognize Louisville for the Kentucky Derby which occurs on the first Saturday of every May. The Derby falls on my birthday about once every seven years and we always have a huge Derby-Birthday party for it! It’s an amazing city with a lot of culture and life.
