This is my video essay of the movie SE7EN directed by David Fincher. As my first video editing project, it actually went smoother than anticipated. The hardest part was downloading the youtube videos and codecs to get them to work with Windows Movie Maker. Then it was easy to cut them up and splice them together. It was frustrating to have to use audacity to do the recording of the analysis, simply because I couldn’t leave the audio of the actual movie playing or I would have terrible playback noises. But, alas, it is finished and I think it turned out pretty well. I’m excited to experiment with more movie editing over the next couple days, I think they might turn out better than this.
