So for my next 5 stars (10 to go), I completed the required Video Essay assignment: The guidelines – construct an essayistic commentary on the scenes as a narrator explaining to your audience what you find important about the scene, and why.
This was probably the hardest video assignment for me. First off, my microphone on my computer is broken, it makes me sound like an alien. So I had to go buy a microphone today, and then when I got home it didn’t work on my computer, it would not pick up my voice, so then I had to download VideoPad Video editor on my mom’s computer and use hers to complete this assignment.
I used Youtube to find clips of my video, some of them may not be the best quality, sorry about that. Then figuring out what to say was difficult to because even though I wrote the analysis last week, tying to talk fast enough while the clip is playing and getting everything in was slightly difficult!
So I downloaded the Youtube videos to my computer and then imported them into VideoPad. I then cut the parts that I did not want to use and kept the clips that I wanted to use. I add the clips together and turned down the volume a little so you would still be able to hear it but when then you would still be able to hear me talk when I was giving my analysis. I then saved the project as a movie and uploaded it to Youtube. Then I included it in my blog! I wanted to show the movie as really deserving the genre of a romantic comedy!
Here is my video analysis clip! Enjoy!
