Final analysis of “The Wizard of Oz.” This definitely makes me want to watch the movie over and over again. I forgot how much I loved the story.
I’m really glad I chose to analyze this movie. I was able to look at it in a way that I never really have before. I also learned a lot more about common views on the movie, like the different hidden meanings it could possibly have. I have a whole new respect for the acting quality in current movies. Up until now, it had been a few years since I had seen “The Wizard of Oz,” and I have to admit, I never noticed how crappy certain parts of the movie are. But I feel that since I sat down and took the time to analyze a few different scenes, I was able to pick apart aspects of the movie that I definitely never noticed in the past.
The assignment all together took every bit of about four hours. A lot longer than I expected! One thing I’m gradually learning with these audio and video assignments is that the editing alone is such a long process, and it’s much more involved than I ever imagined. I think what I mostly gained from this assignment was more experience with the VideoPad Video Editor. It’s amazing. I was stopping here and there throughout the assignment to look up how to use certain tools, and it’s genius! I really had no idea it was so easy to edit a video, add audio to the video, change the volume of different clips wherever I want, etc. Definitely worth all four hours!
