A Cinderella Story on Friday the 13th!

With 10 stars to go, I knew I had to complete the Movie Trailer Mash up for 4 stars so that’s what I did (leaving me with 6 stars left). The directions to the Movie Trailer Mash up were: Take your favorite movie trailer and mash it up with a different trailer to completely change the meaning of the original trailer. For example, if you have a funny movie trailer, give it the sound of a terrifying movie; or vice versa. You may need to clip the audio or the visual, use imovie and audacity to cut the clips to give you what you need. Good luck! The movies I choose we A Cinderella Story (the one with Hilary Duff) and Friday the 13th.

To begin, it took me a while to figure out what movies I wanted to use, but when I figured them out, I went to Youtube and searched for the movie trailers. I found the A Cinderella Story trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFx88B1BtME), I used this website to download and save the trailer to my computer : http://www.savetube.com/. Next after finding the Friday the 13th trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MiJzZ7FQX0), I used this website to turn the youtube video into an MP3: http://www.flvto.com/.

To combine the two, I opened up VideoPad Video Editor. I first imported the Cinderella video then added the sound to the Friday the 13th trailer. I did not realize until I actually put the two trailers together that the Friday the 13th was shorter than the A Cinderella Story so I had to cut some of the A Cinderella Story out. Then after I aligned the clip with the sound, all i had to do was save the project as a movie and upload it to Youtube and then include it in here.

The hardest part about this was trying to figure our movies that would somewhat work together. I think that the videos I choose had parts that fit really well but there were some that did not fit so well. Over all though I think the mash up worked. I wanted to give the A Cinderella Story which is classified as a romance and comedy, a spooky feel because opposites are known to attract and whats more opposite funny than scary.

Here is the Movie Trailer Mash UP, Enjoy! :)
