One Second of Light

The assignment is to make a One Second Video and the challenge is “How much of a story can you tell in one second?”

This is probably the simplest assignment to do technically.  I imported the video into iMovie, trimmed it down to a second, and gave the audio a slight fade.

The example compilation video — The Beauty of a Second — was really gorgeous and led my thinking more toward beauty than story.  I shot this second sitting under a tree in the afternoon, noticing how the light would occasionally filter in through the tree branches.  This is pretty boring in terms of story; thinking on it now something with more action would probably be more entertaining/intriguing. Oh well, here is one second of light:
