Watching Movies With the Stereo On (2 Stars)

The movie clip I chose is from “Cherry Crush.” It was made in 2007 and although it was never extremely popular, the story line is really interesting. It’s about a teenage photographer, Jordan, who gets wrapped up in one of the models he photographs, and in turn gets wrapped up in a murder case. The scene I chose from it is in the beginning of the movie. The audience is gradually figuring out more about Jordan’s life, what he does, and where he stands. The movie, and the scene itself actually, is fairly depressing. So what I did was eliminated all of the original audio from the movie and replaced it with “Photograph” by Def Leppard. Jordan is taking photographs in this scene, so it fits in that aspect. But I also thought it was cool how just by changing the audio of the clip, it changes the feel of the scene completely. In the movie, the scene displays how Jordan is an outsider. However, with this Def Leppard song added, it seems as if Jordan is actually enjoying himself and his high school life (aside from him getting knocked down by a football player). It fits, somehow or another!
