What are the benefits to online collaboration?

Collaborating with people around the world online is something that has never been easier.  With all the new technology, people from Germany, Japan, Madrid, or  Ghana and just a click away!  The great thing about collaborating with people from different corners of the world is that you are exposed to so many different ideas and cultures.  People will bring different perspectives to the work.

In order for people to take interest in an online collaborative project they need to be drawn into it.  By making the collaboration more personal- it will make each person believe that their part in the whole counts!

My beliefs on collaboration!

I think that it is amazing how someone can be on the other side of the world and you can see them talking (and talk to them) right on your computer/television screen.  I believe that it is the future of education.  There are so many benefits to collaborating online and if everyone gets involved in the movement, I think big changes will come!
