Tonight I participated in #engchat, a chat on twitter for those of us interesting is the English education. The chat was extremely interesting, there were so many people interacting and sharing ideas. I just wish I was a little more skilled at keeping up with all the different conversations. I think next time I participate in a chat like this, I will only try to follow a few of the conversation treads so I will be able to actually participate in a meaningful way.

Twitter Chats like this one are exactly the kind of collaboration that teachers should be taking part in. Just one hour of my time, and tons of new ideas were fostered both in me, and hopefully others. Ideas from one school are spread to another school and so on. Hopefully chats like this get teachers excited about new methods in their classrooms, making education better teacher by teacher.
