I was quoting this in my title btw.
I like Disney.
Final Reflection Post Again, at least five paragraphs inwardly reflective on this course experience. Cite yourself by links to previous work. These are items you might consider; this is not a list of questions to ask, but ones to guide you. This is your reflection.
- Return to your original post on personal cyperinfrastructure, and write a response/update after your course experience.
- What does storytelling mean to you now?
- What did you gain the most from this course?
- Talk about your best work on assignments and dailycreate- talk about why you picked them.
- What would you say to future students about this class?
- If you were in charge of this class, what would you change?
Why hello thur.
I am not particularly good at reflections so I am just going to talk/type to you about some stuff and hope it is at least a little relevant.
Digital storytelling, as we were told at the beginning of the semester, was a lot of work. As I already was doing a lot of work I definitely got bogged down there in the middle. The class was super fun though. I really enjoyed having an excuse to create things. I tend to shy away from doing the creative things that I enjoy because I do have a ton of things going on in my life and it has previously felt hard to justify. I mean when you have 2 jobs, 17 credits of class and research, it is difficult to think of doing something enjoyable. But as class went on I got more comfortable with taking pictures of things just because I wanted to and I found myself inspired to get back into sketching and watercolor. I also was introduced to lots of new medias. I finally used gimp that I downloaded… like 2 years ago. I used windows movie make for the first time. Uploaded videos to my previously pretty vacant youtube profile (also got my first video removed, score.) I really enjoyed getting to play with the tools that were previously laying vacant around my computer. It sort of allowed me to feel like I was able to have some sort of control over my internet. Not that anyone on the internet has actually seen my things for real, but whatevs.
I learned from this class that you can pretend that everything and anything is a story. I mean everything may have a story but we took it further to mean that everything was a story in and of itself. I also learned that I know a very strange amount about the internet. Like a lot about internet. I did learn some things about the internet too. I learned how to do gifs. And how to make tutorials. I learned that the internet can be a small place.
I think that if I had to recommend something for future students I would recommend that they should drop all other classes except this one. I loved this class but felt that I never had much time to do it. Give yourself a million time. Drop all other classes.

I would also like to recommend that the instructors allow more variety. 30 video stars? What about all of the other assignment types??
ANYWAY
Here are some gifs to distract you from the fact that I can’t think of anything else to say:
