So it was actually William Shakespeare’s birthday the other day. I was never a fan of Shakespeare. I struggled to make sense of his writing because it was challenging. However, I know it is something I will, one day, have to teach, and I am okay with that. When I took a Shakespeare course at SUNY Cortland, I had a great experience, and a grew a new found love for good old Billy. I am impressed by his writing. We would not only read in this class, but we would act out the infamous plays which absolutely helped to generate a better understanding of them. It is amazing how many things are inspired by this man, and most don’t even realize. I stumbled upon this picture the other day. Take a look, because you probably use most of these sayings on a basis and you probably do not even realize where they came from! Happy belated birthday Billy!!
