The idea I came up with for my final project revolves around the theme of “systematic chaos” and “organic tranquility”. I want to pair heavy instrumental music with the intensity of someone’s commute through a public and crowded area until they arrive at a very natural and serene location, where the music suddenly becomes calming and peaceful. The film will begin with someone leaving their home full of technological distractions (i.e. computers, television, phones) and entering an atmosphere of tall buildings and moving vehicles. The film will traverse into a natural looking environment when they finally arrive at a park-type location, with no buildings or cars; only trees, soil, and water. At this point the music will transition into something very spacey and peaceful. I want to use original footage and original music to reflect the visuals.
