Nothing says summer more than an impromptu beach day trip.

My friend and I went to Colonial Beach for the day.

It was off-season and hardly anyone was there, which meant peaceful, relaxing quiet by the waves. It also meant drinks at the tiki bar, including free samples from the bartender. After a full day of doing nothing but laying out in the sun and listening to music, we went home tan and happy.

Close your eyes and listen to the sound of the waves on the shore.
