One of this weeks Daily Creates (http://tdc.ds106.us/tdc181/) was to record a memo to your past-self or to your future self. I decided to record this memo for my past self (if only it were possible for my younger self could here it). If I could go back and tell my younger self anything, it would be… “BE WHO YOU ARE!!!” If you are a nerd/dork or whatever society has classified smart kids as, embrace it. If you like to read Nancy Drew books instead of going outside, DO IT, if you want to play video games in a slightly obsessive manner, GO FOR IT! And if there are bullies that are making your life a living hell, don’t play sick and miss school tell whoever you need to tell to get help! Oh, and dont rely so much on technology that your ability to spell does downt the drain, as mine has… I’ve gone from spelling bee champ, to not being able to spell better than a 5th grader! Embrace who you are and love it! One last thing, taking apart your brothers playstation and not yours, is still in my opinion very smart, and all of that taking apart computers and watching mom at work, may just oneday make you want to be a computer scientist! Love you for you and not anybody else.
